Christian Kubas, MPT, BKin

Registered Physiotherapist

Christian received his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2014. Prior to this he obtained a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) in 2012. His background includes working as a certified personal trainer through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. 

Since graduating, Christian continues in academics as a sessional instructor in Human Anatomy at UFV and a clinical skills assistant at UBC.

Christian's eclectic approach utilizes manual therapy, manipulation, dry needling / intra-muscular stimulation (IMS), education and a strong emphasize on exercise to optimize and restore normal pain free movement. Christian strives towards bridging the gap from a clinic rehab setting to sport performance and gym environments. He has worked with national and Olympic level athletes and travelled with the Freestyle Canada Skiing teams internationally. Other teams include the Vancouver Warriors professional lacrosse team and BC Rugby. Christian is also a published lead author in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. He has been in the Gastown/Downtown area for over a decade providing rehabilitation services.

Linda Truong, PhD, MScPT

Registered Physiotherapist

Linda is a clinician-scientist with extensive knowledge in knee injuries and rehabilitation. She is well known internationally for both her clinical and research knowledge. She completed her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of British Columbia with a research focus on the impact of social support on recovery following a traumatic knee injury (e.g., ACL injury). With her thesis work, she also worked to develop an innovative program looking at how to delay and/or prevent knee osteoarthritis and physical inactivity. She is a clinical instructor in the Masters Program at UBC.

Linda has more than 12 years of clinical experience as a physiotherapist and has worked closely with sport medicine physicians and knee surgeons at her time at the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic in Edmonton, Alberta. She treats a wide range of injuries, but has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing knee injuries, particularly ACL injuries. Linda’s treatment approach is strongly rooted in 1) exercise 2) evidence/research 3) empowering and educating patients. She is an avid climber and enjoys ice hockey and weight lifting.

Alyssa Jolly Physio Vancouver Downtown

Alyssa Jolly MPT, BA(Kin)

Alyssa received a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and subsequently her Master of Physical Therapy from The University of Western Ontario. Following graduation she moved to Vancouver to start her career and explore all the west coast has to offer. Alyssa was first introduced to physiotherapy in treatment for various sport/dance related injuries. She has since developed an appreciation for lifelong movement, injury prevention, and the importance of returning to sport/activity following injury.

Her background includes working with patients of all ages. Alyssa has a passion for promoting physical activity throughout the lifespan and helping clients achieve their movement and sport related goals. She uses a client-centred approach with an emphasis on exercise and active rehabilitation, education, and manual therapy.

Outside of work, Alyssa lives an active lifestyle by attending workout classes, skiing, hiking, biking, camping, and traveling.

Kelsey Hindmarch Vancouver Physio Running Gymnastics

Kelsey Hindmarch MScPT, BKin

Registered Physiotherapist

Kelsey is a graduate of the University of Alberta Master of Science in Physical Therapy program. In her practice Kelsey aims to not only treat symptoms but address the underlying cause of an issue with the goal of better long term performance or improved quality of life. Kelsey is certified in dry needling, manual therapy, clinical Pilates, concussion rehab, and the treatment of pelvic floor issues.

Prior to becoming a physiotherapist Kelsey was a full-time gymnastics coach working with competitive and recreational athletes. She continues to coach on a part-time basis and has worked as a team physiotherapist with B.C. athletes in artistic gymnastics at national level competitions. Kelsey has an extensive sports background performing at a high level in artistic gymnastics as well participating competitively in soccer, tennis and track and field. Her passion for sports led her to pursue a career in physiotherapy as a way to facilitate people perform in their sport and help others to lead better pain free-lives.

Outside of clinical time Kelsey can be found running, skiing or improving her golf swing. She is also a professional artist creating landscape paintings and ink drawings.

Sean Conner, MRSc, BKin

Registered Kinesiologist

Sean holds a Master's degree in rehabilitative sciences from UBC and a Bachelor of Kinesiology from UFV. He is an instructor in the Sport Science Faculty at Douglas College and University of the Fraser Valley.

He specializes in rehabilitation of muscle and joint injuries, ICBC MVAs, concussion, post-surgical, and neurological conditions . He’s also had many successful clients with weight loss and other fitness goals such as gaining muscle and sport-specific e.g. Whistler Gran Fondo.

In his free time, he enjoys many outdoor activities, in particular, triathlon and cycling. He has completed numerous Ironman distance events, including the age group World Multisport Championships for Long Distance Triathlon and Duathlon.
